Program 1: The Hook Up Culture: “I still haven’t found what I’m looking for…"
Assembly Presentation: In this fast–paced presentation, Hanks shows the exact power relation between the “basement hook up boy” and the woman in The Hook Up. He answers the question, “Who has the power?” Is it Sex In The City Samantha who says, “I’m in control” or is it the guy who nods and winks? “With a hook-up you’ll have his friends at a party coming up saying, you know, he wants to hook up with you, you’re cute, come to his room.” (Independent Women’s Forum: Hooking Up, Hanging Out, and Hoping for Mr. Right--College Women on Dating and Mating Today)
Program 2: Is a good man hard to find? View Flash Movie
Having majored in Sociology with a concentration in Women Studies at Dartmouth College, I can assuredly prepare a woman to meet and fall in love with the man of her dreams. Adamantly believing that women represent vessels of untapped talent and unlimited potential, I speak to the heart of a woman and therefore facilitate an environment where she can see her innate excellence and beauty. By encouraging each woman to fulfill her potential both as a single and in her romantic relationship, I bring each presentation to a close. Front Row also challenges men to be "the kind of man a woman wants and the kind of man a woman needs." (From "Is a good man hard to find?" ).
Come Sit Front Row and hear:
*some traits of a man of character
*The one overarching characteristic that the quintessential woman of excellence possesses
*The 8 Pre-requisites a woman must have in order to meet a man of character
*The three elusive words a woman of excellence will finally be able to say
In this presentation, Hanks addresses a problem that many intelligent and talented women have had over The Ages: finding and settling down with a man of character. Even in these 2000s, there remain many women who still one day would like to meet the man of their dreams and not have to “dumb down” in order to keep him. In “Is a good man hard to find?”/“So where is he?” (A woman of excellence’s search for a man of character), Hanks charges that it remains very possible for a “brilliant” and “talented” woman to walk side by side with a man of character and not have to compromise herself in anyway, by losing her IQ or standing barefoot and pregnant in the kitchen: “This same man (of character) understands that a woman isn’t just a vessel for a baby, but is a storehouse of untapped talent and unlimited potential.”
Hanks gives some identifying marks of the woman of excellence and the man of character. He encourages women to keep their standards high when it comes to men and romantic relationships positioning that the quintessential woman of excellence will eventually get “the kind of man a woman wants and the kind of man a woman needs,” she must, however, have certain pre-requisites in place. “I want to tell every woman in here tonight that a man of character might be getting ready to walk along side you right now, walk beside you right now, but he'll think twice if he sees you trying to find him because he knows that the lovin' ain't the same from a needy woman.” Hanks insists that once the pre-requisites are in place, the woman of excellence can begin The Countdown because she will meet him.
Program 3: Is a good man hard to keep?
No. But many women let good men slip through their hands because they do not know what really is most important to men. They also do not know that keeping a good man is actually easier than getting him in the first place.
Come sit Front Row and see how any woman can not only have the exact type of man she wants, but also keep him.
Program 4: The Great Lie
“In my twenties, I gave my power over to men. You are nothing when you give your power over to men.” ~Oprah
Militant, over-the-top feminists (“Gone To Seeders) have sold a lie to masses of women in the name of The Feminist Movement and Women’s Liberation. The Great Lie has two parts. Part one states that men and women are the same and what’s good for the man is also good for the woman. Whilst arguing initially for equity and reform, Feminists Gone To Seeders and dishonest men have sent out these waste products of metabolism and sadly masses of women have fallen right in it, and re-interpreted it to mean that anything a man can do, a woman can do also. R&B Singer Joe commented on this phenomenon: "Everything I can't do, a woman can in every way. But I don't like the fact that women are trying to become more like men, in the sense that, if we can do it, you can do it as well. You have got to understand: two wrongs don't make a right, and it's not going to work if we are both playing the same game."(199)
Part 2 of The Great Lie states that men and women are not the same, but women are in fact "better" than men and anything a man can do, a woman can not only do, but she can also do it better. Part 2 therefore states that a woman gains power in the sexual market place by hooking up indiscriminately like her male counterpart has done for so long and that women can play The Game better than men. Many women continue to absorb The Great Lie and this represents one of the reasons why there exist so many rich, but still personally unhappy women in society today. (Adapted excerpts from The Great Lie that some women believe and tragically keep on believing).
Come Sit Front Row and here how The Great Lie only has wings because of a few and how a repudiation of the untruth will eventually lead to greater fulfillment for all women. “Those who have got it going on already will get more and those who want to ascribe to the woman of excellence formula will now do so.”
